3 Causes Of Problematic Vape Cartridges And How To Fix Them

on July 06, 2020

How to fix vape cartridges

One of the most annoying things when it comes to vaping is a vape cartridge that doesn't seem to work. For some reason, this happens at the worst possible time when you desperately want a hit, but nothing comes out.

If this has happened to you, you might be looking for solutions to fix the issue. Fortunately for you, we have prepared a list of possible reasons your cartridge isn't working and what you can do to try and get it working once more.

1. Leaving your Vape Pen in an Extremely Hot or Cold Environment

One of the most common reasons your vape might not be working is that you left it in a place that's either too hot or too cold.

In a hot place, your device can overheat, possibly frying the components. On the other hand, in a cold place, your concentrates might thicken too much to "pull" properly.

How do you fix the problems mentioned above? If you're lucky and the device's internals are still functioning, leave it to cool down before use if it is too hot. If the device is too cold, you can warm up the oil lower its viscosity by activating Pre-Heat Mode.

2. A Defective Cartridge

A possible reason your device isn't creating any vapor is that you may have received a defective cartridge. Before you go tinkering with the settings, however, check that the battery is charged and test your vape pen with a second cartridge if possible. This is a problem that many people forget but is, embarrassingly, quite common. If it is confirmed that you have a defective cartridge, contact your local dispensary or vape shop for a replacement.

3. The Battery isn't Connected Properly

Sometimes, when you're busy replacing the battery, you might have pushed the battery up a little too tight or too loose, causing it to lose contact. This is a common issue with 510 threaded vape pen batteries that require you to screw on the cartridge where you may have just screwed it on a little too tight or loose.

The fix for this would be to remove the battery and put it back gently. If your device does have a screw-on fixture, screw it just until the threads are secure without being too tight.

Conclusion

Even if you don't know the exact cause of the problem, do try the fixes we've shared with you. If they work, then great; you've just saved yourself having to buy a brand new cartridge.

However, if you find that your device still doesn't seem to work correctly or at all, you might need to replace the full device itself. Fortunately for you, there are many online vape shops nowadays, meaning you can purchase what you need with a click of a button.
